Cold Process Roofing

A cold process roof shares many of the advantages of a hot mopped roof because it is constructed with the same materials, layers of felt and bitumen. However, in this case the bitumen is chemically altered, so it can be applied without having to heat it first. The primary advantage of a cold process roof over traditional hot mopping is that it substantially reduces the odor during the roofing process and provides additional safety.
